How ExportYourStore Detects Existing Listings
SKU-Based Detection
For marketplaces that support SKU references, ExportYourStore automatically detects existing listings by their SKU.
This ensures that the app does not create duplicate listings if the product already exists on that marketplace.
Marketplaces Without SKU Support
Some marketplaces do not allow SKU-based tracking.
For these platforms, ExportYourStore cannot detect pre-existing listings unless they were originally created or synced through our app.
Once a listing is synced through ExportYourStore, the app can then track updates, inventory, and prevent duplicates.
Recommended Workflow
Check Existing Listings:
Verify if a product already exists on a marketplace before exporting, especially on non-SKU-supported platforms.Use ExportYourStore for All New Listings:
Whenever possible, create or sync listings through ExportYourStore to maintain tracking, avoid duplicates, and simplify inventory management.Regularly Monitor Sync Status:
Keep an eye on the listing status in the app. Listings synced through ExportYourStore will show as Listed & Syncing, helping you manage stock and updates efficiently.
What This Means for You
No Duplicate Listings on SKU-Supported Marketplaces:
You can safely export products to marketplaces like Amazon or eBay that support SKU tracking without worrying about creating duplicates.Caution on Non-SKU Marketplaces:
For marketplaces without SKU detection, manually check for existing listings before exporting products to avoid duplicates.Syncing for Better Tracking:
Listings initially created outside ExportYourStore can be synced into the app. Once synced, they become trackable for inventory updates, delisting, or modifications.
Best Practice: Always sync listings via ExportYourStore for consistent tracking, inventory management, and updates.
