Why am I charged while on a Free Trial on Shopify?

If you were charged while on a free trial, it is usually due to how Shopify handles app billing.


How the Free Trial Works

ExportYourStore typically offers:

  • 7-day free trial

  • Up to 10 listings during the trial

After the trial ends, the selected subscription plan will begin automatically.


Why You Were Charged

Shopify billing works differently from direct website subscriptions.

  • Shopify automatically charges for apps after the free trial ends

  • This applies to all plans (Starter, Growth, Business, Enterprise)

  • Charges are added to your Shopify billing account

Important: Uninstalling the App

If you decide not to continue using ExportYourStore:

Simply cancelling inside the app is not enough on Shopify.


How to Stop Future Charges

  1. Go to your Shopify admin

  2. Open Apps

  3. Uninstall ExportYourStore
